Interested?

Frequent Questions Regarding XFT

Q. Will using the Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ void the engine manufacturer’s warranty?
A. No, Engine manufactures cannot discriminate against the use of a fuel additive. Under the terms of the
Magnuson-Moss Warranty act, engine manufacturers must take the position that the use of a fuel additive
does NOT void the engine warranty unless it can be proven that the specific additive was the cause of the
failure. Manufactures may assert that the use of certain additives may prove useful.
Q. How does Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ work?
A. Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ contains and oil soluble, organo-metallic compound which functions as a ‘burn rate
modifier’ and a ‘catalyst’ to lower the ignition point of fuel in the combustion chamber. It reduces the temperature
of the burn from 1200ºF to 800ºF which increases the length of the time of the fuel burn. This results in a more
complete burn of the available BTU’s of the fuel. The product also causes a reduction in the fuel droplet size that
is injected into the combustion chamber, thus increasing the surface area available to be burned. This results in a
more complete fuel burn, which adds horse power, increases mileage, reduces emissions and cleans the engine.
Q. What makes Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ different from all the other additives on the market?
A. Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ is a proven fuel treatment, used in the mining industry for the last 11 years. It is very
concentrated; one gallon will treat 10,000 gallons of fuel. Not only does it have a combustion catalyst that will
help increase fuel economy, Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ also has detergents, to remove harmful deposits from fuel
pumps and injectors, lubricants to provide lubrication to pistons, fuel pumps, injectors and reduces friction, fuel
stabilizers to prolong the life of stored fuel, polymerization retardant and dispersants to reduce sludge in fuel, rust
and corrosion inhibitors to prevent fuel system corrosion and demulsifiers to help reduce water that forms in fuel.
Q. Can I use lower grades of fuel when using Xtreme Fuel Treatment™?
A. The Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ formula allows you to use the lowest octane fuel without causing pings or lower
engine performance.
Q. What happens if I put more Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ in my tank than is recommended?
A. Over treating will not cause any negative effects on your engine. However, you will not get better results by using
more of the formula. The recommended treatment rate has proven to provide the best results.
Q. Do I need to add the Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ on an empty tank?
A. Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ is made to disperse quickly into your complete fuel tank; it does not matter if you add
the additive on an empty tank or a full tank. However, it makes more sense to add the additive before you begin
pumping your fuel.
Q. When I pour the additive into my tank, there seems to be some that sits on the metal flap of my gas tank inlet,
what happens to that product?
A. The additive will only remain on the top of the inlet flap for a few seconds before seeping beyond the flap and
down into the fuel tank. It is recommended that you add Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ before you begin to pump the fuel
which helps disperse the additive throughout the fuel tank.
Q. What does the EPA registration mean?
A. In order to get an EPA registration, a product must pass a three phase tier test. The purpose is to ensure the quality
of the additive being used in combustion engines. It does not mean that the EPA endorses the product.
Q. Will using your product damage my engine?
A. Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ has been specifically tested to ensure complete compliance with all standards and
performance criteria. The product will not damage any engine.
Q. Is Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ classified as a hazardous material?
A. Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ is considered a non-hazardous material and can be shipped without specific hazardous
warnings. The product MSDS (material safety data sheet) is available upon request. Medical treatment is necessary if
product should be taken internally. Keep out of the reach of children.
Q. Can I use the instrument panel in my vehicle that shows ‘miles to empty’ and MPG as a true measurement?
A. Most computers in today’s cars and trucks show an average of savings and can be calculated in a number of different
ways. It is advised, before using Xtreme Fuel Treatment™ , to get a true MPG base line, by dividing the number of miles
traveled by the gallons of fuel used. Then, once the additive is used, revaluate the savings by the same method. If you pull a boat or trailer you may have to remove the positive battery connection to reset the computer to get an accurate reading on your instrument panel.

It was bound to happen. My wife got me up early, had the truck loaded and informed me we had to run up the Elliott to mile 21 and pick blueberries. I hate these early wake-ups to forage around burned out areas of the subarctic; especially when last week we picked several gallons of berries, gave some to family then froze the rest for pancakes and muffins this winter. My wife grew up in a subsistance lifestyle and as long as there is food within reach we have to get it until our attention is focused on something else thats fun to do!

Off we went on our 75 mile roundtrip quest for the little, round, blue fruit, got to our picking spot and didn’t find a single berry. (I smiled to myself, looked at my cell phone clock and realized I still had time to get back to the house in time for the start of the Mariner game.) As we drove back into town my wife instructed me to take a left off the Elliott onto the Steese and a little side tour up and over the pass called Pedro Dome, down the haul road the Fort Knox Gold Mine conglomerate built for their strip mine operation, stopped at our most favorite berry spot (the one that yielded several gallons last week) and scrambled through the brush to pick a couple more gallons for my daughter Katherine who lives in Anchorage and informed her mother last week that she didn’t share in the berry hand-outs from last week. So now she has hers.

Actually, we had a great time! The air was fairly clear: We’ve had extreme warm weather for a month and the forest fires around the interior (over a million acres burned) have produced some really smoky days and it was good to breathe ash free air for awhile; we ate some great king salmon spread I made last night, on pilot bread crackers, drank some cold, clear water from the Fox springs and generally talked about getting ready for fishing in Valdez for the next week starting on Friday.

And I still got back in time for the 12.15 p.m.,ADT, first pitch of the Mariner/Blue Jay game. The Mariners won, by the way, the smoke is back in the air, it’s hot as heck outside and we are getting the cooler ready for Prince William Sound.

So; check this out! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read this little excerpt from our daily newspaper, a pseudo-liberal, small town, uninspired rag called “The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner”.

As most of you don’t know Sarah Palin is coming to Fairbanks on Sunday, during our local Golden Days celebration, to perform her resignation dance and turn the reins of the Alaska Governorship over the Sean Parnell, the current assistant governor.
Some local Fairbanks wag, in a letter to the editor, wrote he hoped Palin didn’t try to get the State of Alaska to pay her return fare cost to Wasilla after the swearing out ceremonies because that would be an ethics violation as she would no longer be governor!
Jeez, I can remember a time not to long ago when All alaskans prided themselves in being friendly, polite and helpful. I think the blame for this total change in behavior should be laid directly at the feet of the Fox News Channel!
(I jokes.)

I’m one of those mainstream, long time Alaska residents who really have no interest in what outsiders say about us or how they perceive us to be or even how they develop their Robert Service, Sergeant Preston “On King, on you huskies” image of what Alaska is. Most of us transplanted lower forty eighters go through the same kinds of questions, accusations and dismissals that Palin has gone through when we go out to infrequent trips to Washington or New York or wherever to fulfill a visit request by relatives, and come away with the confirmation as to why we moved to Alaska in the first place. The difference between us and Sarah is we don’t have to suffer the curiosity and rejection of our mental capacity (“aren’t you bored?”), our physical comfort (“Isn’t it cold all the time?”) or our lack of cultural stimulation (“What DO you read?”) in the scrutiny of the public media. No, we have to suffer watching the eyes of our friends and relatives in the lower 48 as they glaze over sharing with them the magnificence of being on a whaling crew hunting a bowhead whale in an open lead surrounded by ice and wind and weather while paddling a tiny little boat made of wood and walrus skin, or trying to describe the athletic ability of a young man while he is thrown skyward from a animal skin blanket being pulled by a circle of friends and strangers in the blanket toss.

When outsiders try to comprehend life in Alaska they simply can’t relate and the experiences we share and participate in up here become caricatures and points of ridicule for most; and therein lies the paradox of both Palin and the rest of us that live here. On the one hand she is hailed as the saviour of the republic party; the hockey mom, caribou hunter, fisher-woman, Governor coming into the country of the sophisticate as a Vice Presidential candidate on the McCain ticket with credentials amounting to independent thinking, conservative, family values, family first person and on the other hand an ill-prepared, intellectual midget, under read, English language butchering, hick from the hills new comer with no credentials, no experience and no business being in the same part of the country with the political, social and economic elite of American politik!

Palin is like most of us who live up here. One difference between her and us is she’s the Governor. Big deal! Someone has to do that job. She just happens to share conservative values like the rest of us and that’s why she has the job. She wears Carhartts like the rest of us, when the occasion warrants and not to endorse the brand but the country is rugged and we need something sturdy. Same with Arctic Cat jackets. They are all over the place as are Ski Doo Jackets, Polaris Jackets and Yamaha Jackets. We aren’t endorsing the product but keeping warm. All you have to do to learn this lesson is to google Palin, find a picture of her in a crowd and look at what the crowd is wearing! I believe she has had several ethic violation complaints filed against her simple because of what she wears. What a crock!

Palin has also been criticized, complained against and reviled for living in her home and doing the states business rather than living in the governors mansion in the Juneau, the capital city of Alaska. I think most Alaskans are like me and don’t care where she lives as long as she does the people’s work. If you have ever been to Juneau you would understand why she doesn’t want to live there. (nor would anyone else I know) It’s isolated, difficult to get in and out of, difficult and expensive for the majority of Alaskans to get to and unmistakably the most liberal town in Alaska! In fact, most Alaskans refer to Juneau as a bedroom community of Seattle.

More importantly, though, Palin does the state’s business from Wasilla because she has a family to take care of and the governor’s mansion isn’t set up to raise a family. Besides, her office in Anchorage is accessible to 75% of the State population and her platform for governing has always been “for the people”. She has generated several ethics complaints over where she does her business.

My wife and I received a very nice personal note from Palin and her husband when my mother in law died. I’m sure politicians in every state have a data base of names and announcements and send out notes of sympathy to the family when a constituent dies. This one had a personal touch that sounded like Palin talks and we appreciated her effort very much. The long and short of it is Palin is just another politician. The difference is she still talks the talk of Alaska and walks the walk of a person actually involved in the wildlife, scenery, lifestyle and environment that is Alaska. Most of the politicians I know, hear, read about or watch on Fox don’t share that relationship with their state or country. While most politicians wear expensive suits, talk with expensive words and pretend to hold babies while waxing eloquent about the latest need for nationalizing health care, Palin has fish scales up her nose and hamburger helper on her plate reading the latest edition of the Nome Nugget instead of wasting time with the Washington Post!

And finally my impression of Sarah Palin is one colored by sadness and anger and total disgust by the way her and her family are being treated by the Washington elite, the east coast intellectuals and the main stream media midgets who ask such questions as “what have you read lately?” Sadness because Palin”s family has been smeared, trashed and pilloried; shame of those that have such poor manners. Angry because our political system is so skewed by media bias the voting public can’t see the forest for the trees. And disgusted by how little credibility is placed on exactly those things that Palin and her family demonstrate and that where core values in the families of my generation when we were growing up but now seem to be lost by the current hordes of decision makers; values such as honesty, integrity, good will, respect for others, working hard and taking care of one’s family.

There is absolutely no shame or disgrace in Palin quitting her job as Governor of Alaska. It was a very brave and correct thing to do. Her carhartts and arctic cat jacket, desire to fish her husbands commercial license, her dedication to her children and her dedication to using her skills and talents to further the progress of good old American values far exceeded any further commitment to listening to her family being trashed or her judgement being questioned. I think Parnell will be an extension of Palin and the State will be ok. I think the Country will benefit from her counsel and I think her family is going to get back to normal. Good luck to her and good luck to them.

Pause to remember what the Fourth Of July REALLY stands for, and God Bless America.

I received this in email form from a friend and decided to put the information in quotes and share it.

…………………………………………………………………………………………..

Dr. David Kaiser. “Something of historic proportions is happening”

He is a professor in the Strategy and Policy Department of the United States Naval War College and has previously taught at Carnegie Mellon, Williams College and Harvard University . Kaiser’s latest book, The Road to Dallas, about the Kennedy assassination, was just published by Harvard University Press.

“History Unfolding

I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books on history that have been published in six languages, and I have studied history all my life. I have come to think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is simply a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

Something of historic proportions is happening.. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it.. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten to fifteen years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.

We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people we know they can never pay back? Why?

We learned just days ago that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has “loaned” two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine.. And that is three times the $700 billion we all argued about so strenuously just this past September. Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of “we the people,” who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.

We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy. Why?

We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, school boards continue to back mediocrity.. Why?

We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it simply wants marriage to remain defined as between one man and one woman. Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?) We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose?

Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, social security is nearly bankrupt, as is medicare and our entire government. Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and I know precisely what I am talking about) – the list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth.. It is potentially 1929 x ten… And we are at war with an enemy we cannot even name for fear of offending people of the same religion, who, in turn, cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.

And finally, we have elected a man that no one really knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla , Alaska . All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders? No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it. Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe is more important.)

Mr. Obama’s winning platform can be boiled down to one word: Change. Why?

I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now.

This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life.. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.

And that is only the beginning..

As a serious student of history, I thought I would never come to experience what the ordinary, moral German must have felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the “savior” was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they should have known was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory. Conservative “losers” read it right now.

And there were the promises. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and frowned and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his “brown shirts” would bully and beat them into submission. Which they did – regularly. And then, he was duly elected to office, while a full-throttled economic crisis bloomed at hand – the Great Depression. Slowly, but surely he seized the controls of government power, person by person, department by department, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The children of German citizens were at first, encouraged to join a Youth Movement in his name where they were taught exactly what to think. Later, they were required to do so. No Jews of course,

How did he get people on his side? He did it by promising jobs to the jobless, money to the money-less, and rewards for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe , and across the world. He did it with a compliant media – did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and …. .. .. change. And the people surely got what they voted for

If you think I am exaggerating, look it up. It’s all there in the history books..

So read your history books. Many people of conscience objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and ridiculed. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though. And the world came to regret that he was not listened to.

Do not forget that Germany was the most educated, the most cultured country in Europe . It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And yet, in less than six years (a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency) it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors.. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me..

I choose to believe the evidence. No doubt some people will scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. To some degree, perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe-and why I believe it.

I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am. Perhaps the only hope is our vote in the next elections.”

I had another sudden epiphany one day when I was fishing for silvers in the sound. I’ve tried this network marketing thing for several years with moderate success and a lot of frustration. I hate calling people, I hate signing them up knowing that within a month or two most will not understand the amount of work involved in being successful with this type of home business, but I love the fact that potentially, philosophically and logically this model for home business success can and does work. If for no other reason than the fact that most major companies including those in apparel, fashion, health and wellness, pet products, travel and a host of others all have divisions in their portfolio that involve Internet marketing or direct sales!

My enlightenment had to do with an email I received from a marketing guy by the name of Mike Dillard who talked to me about attraction marketing. As I read his infomation the seed was planted and I began the process of following his advice and free training and the more involved I get, the more successful I become, the more I believe that if everyone in the world followed a few simple directions regarding attraction marketing the world economy would heal itself.

You really should take a look at this stuff. It’s free to sign up, you get 7 amazing free videos that will get you started, lay the framework and pique your interest in this outrageous world of home business success.

(For example, I do most of my business while I’m on my boat chasing silver salmon or halibut while my shrimp pots soak in the cold, clear waters of coastal Alaska.)

We’ve been down on the boat for the last couple of weeks enjoying the maritime weather, the huge variety of people that make up this world of boating and watched a few of these halibut charters that fish out in the gulf bring in some of the biggest halibut, rockfish, ling cod and yellow eye (red snapper) you can imagine.

Went out yesterday to drop our first string of shrimp pots. I’m an old commercial salmon fisherman from the middle sixties. I’ve purse seined Inian Islands at the end of Icy Strait in Southeast Alaska, drift netted for king salmon on the Yukon River, reef netted in the San Juans but this first string of shrimp pots generated more nervous tics that any of those other places, even in stormy weather.

I don’t know what the stress is all about. I guess it’s having family members along and being responsible for their safety, running a very nice live aboard power cruiser but one that has over 1000 hours on a 7.4 liter merc-cruiser gas engine and wondering when something is going to break. Whatever, I was glad to get those pots off the boat and shrimpins.

Irony lifted it’s head this morning as we were going through the breakwater heading out to pick the pots and I noticed my volt meter was registering near the red. Worked fine yesterday but I knew if it was an alternator going south I would be up the proverbial creek if it broke when we down into Valdez narrows and the engine quit. Sure enough I got back into the boat harbor, tied the boat up, lucked out getting a mechanic down to the boat right away and the alternator was fried.

Looks like we will get a new one installed in the morning and we will go see if there is shrimp for the barbie tomorrow night!

I was talking to the guy tied up next to me, this morning, and we got on the subject of his boat. He is running a 30′ Sea Sport Voyager. As it turns out this boat is build in my home town of Bellingham, Washington and he had the boat build for he and his wife and they motored it up through the inside passage, across Cross Sound, into Yakitat for fuel, spent a week there waiting for weather then another 11 hours across the gulf into Prince William Sound. What a Trip! You really have to know your stuff to make that trip in a thirty footer. Great story.

As soon as I get back to Fairbanks in the next day or two I’ll put some PWS pix up for all to see. What a gorgeous, wild, wonderful place this is!

I’m looking through some of the unfiled correspondence sitting on my wife’s computer and I notice a bill from Medicare that is addressed to her but has my social security number on it. I decide to call:

Wow! the governement voice mail is not only confusing, it is like driving in Los Angeles blindfolded. I finally got to a human voice, found out what I needed to, was satisfied the error was ours and not Social Security but did ask the lady to send me a copy of the medicare directions included with the original forms that were sent to my wife.

That’s when the wheels came off! She told me she would be happy to, but it might be quicker to go online and download them because the printer for social security documents was broken and hadn’t worked since May. I thanked her, asked her for the website address for the documents. She said socialsecurity.org; I said that didn’t sound right but would try it; she said follow the prompts when I got there; I said there probably wasn’t prompts but lists and what would I specifically be looking for and then I said, “I’ll find the right place but I have another question; did you say a minute ago the printers for Social Security were down and had been since May? or did I not hear correctly? She said, “You heard correctly. The printers have been down since May. Do you have a problem with that?”

Well darn! We had now fallen to a different relationship and ventured into my most aggressive pet peeve, customer service! I said, “Of course I have a problem with that! In the last five months we jumped into about $3 trillion in debt, taken over the Auto industry, the Insurance industry and two other major industries and you are telling me you can’t provide a fax copy of initial medicare directions because your printer doesn’t work, and hasn’t since May? My printer works. Send me a pdf of the medicare directions and I’ll send an email to the President asking him to get your printer fixed!”

Click! The lady hung up on me!
